Brittany Stevens, a rising senior at Wesleyan, made a commitment to the Samford University women's basketball program this week. She is the daughter of Dennis and Vee Stevens.
Stevens, a point guard, has helped the Wolves to state titles her first three high school seasons. She averaged 7 points, 3 assists and 3 steals as a junior for Wesleyan, which finished ranked 18th nationally.
She chose Samford over offers from Wofford and Elon and is the second member of Wesleyan's 2013 class to commit to a Division I basketball program -- Kendra Talley committed to Presbyterian College in the spring.
