Kendall Wright of Sugar Hill won the Georgia Women's Open, a Georgia PGA event last weekend at Callaway Gardens' Mountain View Golf Course.
Wright, who recently turned professional, shot a pair of 71s to finish at 2 under par. She won the $800 first-place money by four strokes.
Suwanee's Lauren Court, a Collins Hill grad who plays for Georgia State, tied for fifth after shooting 78 and 74. Norcross' Susan Martin (84-81, 15th place) and Suwanee's Jackie Rajek (84-85, tie for 17th) also finished in the top 20. Court and Rajek played the tourney as amateurs.
