LAWRENCEVILLE -- Primerica was recently honored for its role in helping feed local seniors.
The Duluth-based business was named the 2012 Corporation of the Year by the Atlanta Council of Volunteer Administrators, or COVA. Primerica was nominated by Gwinnett County Friends of Senior Services for its "extraordinary support of worthy causes and sustained volunteer outreach commitment."
"We would like to thank Primerica for being such a valued partner in the community," Pat Baker, director of Gwinnett County Health and Human Services, said in a statement. "The corporation has been instrumental in assisting with delivering meals to our seniors for over 32 years without interruption."
Primerica Senior Vice President Pam Tokarz, a former Friends of Senior Services chairperson, accepted the award.
