LAWRENCEVILLE -- Summer is here and one of the best ways to cool down is with a big bowl of homemade, hand-churned ice cream. In that spirit, the Market at the Depot is hosting its first "Ice Cream Crank Off" on June 30.
To register, you can sign up at the Chew Chew Cafe, also located at the Depot, or email marketatthedepot@gmail.com.
Those who sign up their homemade ice cream competes for the title of Best Homemade Ice Cream in the city. Local judges will determine the winner.
All attendees have the chance to sample the fresh "cranked" cream during the competition, which lasts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Not into ice cream? There are plenty of other things to enjoy at the venue. Local vendors will be present selling arts and crafts, food and other wares.
Market at the Depot is located at 106 Depot St. in Lawrenceville.
