Most lawn mower operators keep them in their own yard. Keep your cigarettes there too and we will not have a problem!

Lately the governments all over some of the more liberal cities have been banning things they have no business banning. Smoking is different because it affects those around the person smoking. Having said that, I just don't like the government banning hardly anything. On a side note, pot is less destructive than tobacco. Why are we pouring billions in a losing war on one and regulating and taxing the other ? I do not smoke either one but have studied the affects of pot and still do not understand it.

While initial scientific evidence does support your statement that pot is less destructive than tobacco, we also know that marijuana has as many or more carcinogens than cigarettes. Scientist research has demonstrated less cancer effects and that THC (the effective ingredient of cannabis) inhibits the carcinogens in mice while nicotine strengthens them. However, cannabis smoke has been implicated in respiratory dysfunction. I could find no studies of the effects of second hand smoke from marijuana. The medicinal properties of marijuana have been sufficient demonstrated so that it should be legalized but, like other drugs, should be regulated until more study is done.
