The Amanda Riley Foundation will host its second Miles-4-Smiles Race/Walk and Family Fun Festival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville. The foundation supports children battling cancer and is named in honor of Riley, a former Brookwood athlete who died of cancer.
Saturday's event features USA Track and Field certified 5K and 10K races, along with a one-mile Fun Run. It also will include live music, inflatables, food, vendor booths and a ceremony honoring children who are fighting cancer.
The Fun Run begins at 9 a.m., followed by the 9:30 5K and then the 10K. The 5K or 10K cost is $30 in advance or $40 on race day. The Fun Run and children under 12 costs $15 for runner in advance and $25 on race day.
