SNELLVILLE -- The New London Theatre in Snellville is presenting "The Miracle Worker" now through June 24.
The dramatic story tells the tale of Helen Keller, who is blind, deaf and mute. Pitied and spoiled by her parents, the character runs wild at home until the Kellers hire Anne Sullivan to serve as a governess and teacher for their young daughter. After several fierce battles with Helen, Anne convinces her parents she needs two weeks alone with the girl.
In that time, she teaches her discipline and language through the use of touch.
"The Miracle Worker" will be performed on the following dates and times:

-- 2:30 p.m. Sunday
-- 8 p.m. June 22
-- 8 p.m. June 23
-- 2:30 p.m. June 24
Tickets are $12 advance or $15 the day of the show. Children and students from three to 19 years old and seniors are always $10. Tickets can be purchased either online through the New London Theatre's website, at Margins Charity Thrift and Variety Mall or at the theater box office.
New London Theatre is a nonprofit organization "dedicated to providing the community with affordable, high-quality, family-oriented entertainment and education in the arts."
