Mrs. Iris Jones Greeson, age 92, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Hoyt Greeson; parents, William Noah and Esta Mae Dodson Jones; five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Graham and Deanie Greeson, Murfreesboro, TN and Philip and Susan Greeson, Braselton, GA; grandchildren, Tricia and John Padgett, Cumming, GA, Grant Greeson, Johns Creek, GA, and Natasha and James Larson, Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, Sarah Padgett, Leah Padgett, Jack Padgett and Luke Padgett all of Cumming, GA; sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones, Buford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Greeson was born July 28, 1919 in Buford, GA. She was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Buford Church of God and a leader of the prayer band for sixty-three years. She was a faithful and active supporting member of the church for sixty-six years. Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Buford Church of God with Pastor Rev. Joey Grizzle and Rev. Dollas Messer officiating. She will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. until time of the funeral. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford, GA.
