PEACHTREE CORNERS — Business people applying for permits to open new establishments in Peachtree Corners say the process has been frozen, putting them in financial jeopardy.
Sheri Snyder says that she quit her job, cashed in her retirement fund and sunk everything into her new art gallery and studio, but won't be able to open it now because of a moratorium on new business licenses.
May 1 was the start of the two-month license freeze until the city officially begins business July 1.
City Attorney Bill Riley said the moratorium is designed to keep undesirable businesses out of the new city.
Voters in November approved a ballot measure creating the new city, which will include about 38,000 residents in Gwinnett County.

Good to see that the morals police have sprung into action. One of the primary goals of cityhood was to keep "those people" out.

How fortunate we are to have created another group of politicians to screw around with the populace and impose their idea of what is "good for the people". From Fatty Muise to Nasuti and now this group of clowns.....hang onto your wallets folks, the worst is yet to come.
