LAWRENCEVILLE — A three-car accident shut down Ga. Highway 316 eastbound lanes Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred at about 2:45 p.m. near Ga. Highway 120, Lawrenceville Police spokesman Capt. Greg Vaughn said. A westbound vehicle hydroplaned in the light rain and crossed the median, striking another car head-on. That car was then struck by yet another vehicle.
The driver of the car struck twice, identified only as a 24-year-old male, was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center complaining of chest and knee pain, Vaughn said.
“(Ga. Highway) 316 east was shut down completely for a short time for the towing company to remove the vehicle,” Vaughn said.
Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The article is poorly written. It gives me the impression the wreck was actually on 120, but it blocked traffic on 316. Perhaps it happened on 316 under the 120 overpass.
