Weekly Suwanee police incidents

-- Gregory Daniel O'Neal was charged on June 7 with improper lane change/failure to maintain lane and DUI.

-- Obaidullah Naweed Tahmass was charged on June 5 with speeding and driving with a suspended license.

-- Billy Wesley Wood was charged on June 4 with violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and violation of drug related objects.

-- A theft was reported from a truck in the parking lot of the Movie Tavern at 2855 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd. Items reported stolen were a 9 millimeter pistol, iPad, laptop computer, seven construction permits, mobile wifi device, external hard drive, an iPhone and phone charger.

-- Yelizaveta A. Kukuliyena was charged on June 3 with possession of marijiuna less than one ounce.

-- Michael Dierter Corda was charged on June 2 with theft by shoplifting.

-- Multiple types of electronic devices, video games and cash were stolen on June 1 from a business on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

-- On June 1, a gold wedding band valued at $500 was reported stolen from a house on Smithtown Road.

-- Richard Jason Bradberry was charged on June 1 with failure to appear.

-- Christopher John Phangnavong was charged on June 1 with violation of probation.

-- Tylor Scott Price was charged on June 1 with violation of probation.

-- Darius Marquis Sherman was charged on June 1 with theft by shoplifting.

-- Miguel Angel Mendoza-Padron was charged on May 31 with driving while unlicensed, and improper parking.

-- David Wayne Anglin was charged on May 31 with no outside consumption.

So what has happened to the little town of Suwanee lately? Crime is going on all around us. Is this telling us they need more police or residents need to start carrying weapons, or both?

Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.
