BUFORD — Put on your party hat because it’s time to get down for a good cause. On Saturday, Lake Lanier Islands Resort has teamed up with 104.7 The Fish to host its first “Islands Give Back” concert at the resort’s newly renovated Peachtree Point Amphitheater.
A portion from each ticket sold will benefit “His Harvest House,” a local food ministry.
“At Lake Lanier Islands, we’re big supporters of the concept of giving back to our community,” said Virgil Williams, chairman of Islands Management Company. “That’s why we place such an emphasis on being a valued part of events like Susan G. Komen’s 3-day for the Cure and Phil Neikro’s Fins & Skins Celebrity Pro-Am to support wounded warriors through Operation One Voice. We’re very excited to kick off this new concert series with our friends at The Fish to help stock the shelves at ‘His Harvest House’ while giving local families an opportunity to enjoy a day of good old fashioned fun at LanierWorld.”
Christian rock bands Sanctus Real, The Museum, and the Rhett Walker Band perform during the evening. Attendees are also asked to bring a non-perishable item to donate and in return, they will receive a free ticket to LanierWorld.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Sanctus Real takes stage at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $12 to $15 per person and are available at www.lakelanierislands.com.
