DULUTH -- The Gwinnett Chamber will host 5K and 10K races next weekend to benefit a number of local charities and "encourage friendly competition among businesses, co-workers family and friends."
The Button Down Dash, also presented by Gwinnett Medical Center, will be held on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 11. The 10K race will start at 7:30 a.m., with the 5K beginning 15 minutes later. Both will start from the Gwinnett Chamber parking lot.
Registration fees will benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Lilburn's Dream House for Medically Fragile Children and the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation.
Business colleagues, family and friends are encouraged to visit buttondowndash.com to sign up together. Race materials for registered participants can be obtained at the Gwinnett Chamber -- located at 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth -- from 11 a.m. to noon and 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10.
