LAWRENCEVILLE -- Rhodes Jordan Park will play host to the state's largest youth sports expo this weekend.
Hosted by Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, the event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the park located at 100 East Crogan Street in Lawrenceville. Tickets are $20, with groups of five able to purchase tickets for $80.
The all-day event is open to anyone involved in youth sports, including volunteers, coaches, team moms and parents. Participants will hear from industry experts and attend educational sessions on topics including: marketing best practices; risk management for youth sports organizations; how to recognize, prevent and treat heat-related injuries; background checks; and soil management.
The keynote speak will be Kat Ding, a NCAA champion gymnast at the University of Georgia and a spokesperson for the Gwinnett Sports Commission.
An expo hall will also put the latest in sports products on display and include product demonstrations, giveaways and a silent auction.
