SUWANEE -- A Suwanee man accused of raping his stepdaughter's 17-year-old friend during a sleep over has also been charged with furnishing alcohol to minors.
Gwinnett County Jail records show Christopher Dale Cox was arrested Saturday and is being held without bond. According to an initial report from the Suwanee Police Department, Cox's alleged crimes occurred early Thursday morning at his family's home on Village Field Court.
The 17-year-old female told police that she was staying overnight at the home when she was raped at approximately 5 a.m. Thursday. The alleged victim told her mother she had been assaulted later that night and met with Suwanee police detectives early Friday morning.
The girl was taken to the Gwinnett Sexual Assault Center for examination.
Upon his arrest, Cox was also charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor. The specific relation of that charge to the single count of felony rape was unclear Monday.
The Daily Post does not identify alleged victims of sexual crimes.
