LILBURN -- Lilburn City Park was filled with fans and music lovers as 21 finalists competed for the title of Gwinnett's next Lilburn Idol on Friday night.
This year, the competition featured an increase in audience vote weight from 20 percent to 40 percent with judges' feedback counting for 60 percent.
Contestants ranging in age from 5 to 71 sang for first place in their respective age group. Last year, winners walked away with gift certificates to the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville. This year, singers won recording time at Virtual Adrenaline Recording Studio, plus other prizes and small gifts from local businesses.
This year's winners are:
Youth -- Willy Neaime
Tween -- Claire Armitage
Young Teen -- Madison Breda
Teen -- Jordan Adam
Adult -- Valda Harrison
Senior adult -- James Griffin
Grand jury selection -- Cheyenne Knight
