NEW ORLEANS -- Bryant Moniz threw for two touchdowns and ran for three more, including a 7-yard scoring scamper with 47 seconds left, to help the Georgia Force to a 55-48 win over the New Orleans VooDoo late Saturday night at the New Orleans Arena.
Jerry Turner sealed not only the win with his sack of New Orleans quarterback Kurt Rocco, forced fumble and fumble recovery with 39 seconds left, but also a berth for the Force (9-9) in the Arena Football League playoffs.
Georgia, one of two wild card teams from the American Conference, will travel to South Division champion Jacksonville for a first-round game either Friday or Saturday. The date and time is still to be determined by the AFL.
