Jannette “Jet” C. Mitchell, age 81 of Buford, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. David Gravitt will officiate. While living in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Mrs. Mitchell was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge # 983 and also a member of the Vietnam Veteran Chapter 23 where she was known as “Mamasan”. She was a Christian Spiritualist who loved dancing, gardening, arts and crafts. “Ma”, as her children called her, also enjoyed quilting and knitting. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her Children: Monica Rae Lasanen, Elton “Dusty” & Cheryl Hassell, all of Dacula; Jan “Frank” & Rae Mitchell, Rosmarie J. Mitchell, all of Buford; Grandchildren: Jennifer Rae Edge, Candace E. Hassell, Devyn Shelbi Mitchell, Ashley C. & Scott Pendergrass; Family Friends: Richard Pickard, Anthony, Renee, Amanda, & Christopher Cirrocci, Rori Strickland, Virginia Lindstron, Mike Smith, Cheryl Stewart. Family will receive friends 1 - 2 PM Saturday, July 21, 2012 and immediately following the service at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road, SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-962-3100.
