LAWRENCEVILLE -- Known for his 1998 No. 1 chart topper "Lullaby," Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Shawn Mullins performs on Friday as part of the 2012 Moonlight and Music Series at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse. This is the performer's eighth year returning to the event.
During the performance, patrons can either reserve a table by calling 678-226-2639 in advance or sit on the lawn for free. Those in the lawn are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. Alcohol is not allowed at the event.
Although the concert is free, organizers are asking attendees to bring canned goods and non-perishable items to donate to local food banks.
The concert begins at 8 p.m., but the lawn opens to the public at 6:30 p.m. After Friday's concert, there are two more shows in the series, which include Abbey Road LIVE!, a Beatles tribute band on Aug. 24 and The Highballs, an '80s cover band on Sept. 28.
