Gwinnett Daily Post
Those with questions about lawn care or vegetable gardens may want to stop by the farmers markets in Suwanee or Snellville in August or September.
The Gwinnett County Cooperative Extension Service master gardener volunteers and other experts will be available to answer questions from the public.
"The questions we receive at the booth are normally home lawn care, vegetable gardening, or home landscape related," said Zachary Snyder, who attends the markets on behalf of the extension service. "If circumstances prevent us from being able to provide an answer in person, we give them instructions on how to contact the office and get further help with their question or issue."
Tim Daly, the county's Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent, also attends the markets, and the extension service representatives also explain what they offer, what master gardeners do and how to become one. Literature about lawn care and vegetable gardens is also available.
The extension service representatives attend the markets once a month. The next scheduled dates in Suwanee are Aug. 11 and Sept. 29. The Snellville dates are Aug. 18 and Sept. 8.
