Two people were pulled from the Yellow River on Thursday afternoon by Gwinnett Fire officials, but were released at the scene with minor bumps and bruises, a fire spokesman said.
Gwinnett Fire Lt. Colin Rhoden said the group consisted of five people -- one adult and four children -- who were not wearing life vests. Rhoden did not release the ages of those involved. It was unknown where the group entered the river, Rhoden said.
The incident occured at Annistown Road where it crosses the Yellow River, about one and a half miles west of the intersection of Annistown Road and Johnson Drive southwest.
