DACULA -- Gwinnett police SWAT team members found a man dead in a closet from an apparent gunshot wound after a standoff Wednesday night.
The man, who police did not immediately identify, had threatened his estranged wife during a domestic dispute and then refused to come outside. Police responded at about 8:30 p.m. at the Dacula home in the 600 block of Swans Landing. The man was armed and had barricaded himself in the house, police said.
The man was alone in the home, and all others were unharmed, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter.
