LAWRENCEVILLE -- An Atlanta man is charged with trafficking methamphetamine after police allegedly found him stashing nearly one pound of the drug in a car on Interstate 85, a popular trade route for traffickers.
Victor Hugo Dimas, 26, remains jailed without bond following his Friday arrest.
Dimas was driving northbound on I-85 when he was stopped near Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Duluth. Police found 454 grams of meth, just shy of a pound, according to an arrest warrant.
A probable cause hearing for Dimas is set for Friday, records show.
