Goddard School gathering backpacks
BUFORD -- The Goddard School located at 4000 South Bogan Road in Buford is hosting a children's backpack drive through July 27.
The Children's Restoration Network, a nonprofit organization committed to serving homeless mothers and children in Atlanta, is holding the backpack and supply drive.
The Goddard School of Buford is serving as the local drop-off site and is asking for any donations of new backpacks and school supplies in hopes of helping the network achieve its goal of donating 4,000 supply-filled backpacks to homeless children.
"We are delighted to help out with this cause," said local Goddard School owner and operator Marijke Strachan. "The teachers and children are anticipating a great learning experience."
