Gwinnett Daily Post
INDIANAPOLIS -- Gwinnett broke open a 3-3 tie with a four run sixth inning to halt a four-game slide and beat Indianapolis 8-5 on Tuesday.
The G-Braves hit two home runs in the frame, a two-run blast by Josh Wilson and a solo shot by Stefan Gartrell.
The homer was part of a 4-for-4, four-RBI night for Wilson, hitting in the eighth spot in the G-Braves lineup. It was Wilson's fourth home run of the season. In July the shortstop is hitting .311 with eight RBIs.
Felix Pie also homered in the game, his second of the season. Pie, Ernesto Mejia and Ruben Gotay all had two hits for the G-Braves. Gotay knocked in a run and scored a pair.
Gwinnett starter Yohan Flande made up for his inning debacle in his previous start, pitching 6 innings, allowing five runs, four earned, off five hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
