GRAYSON-- Giovanni Taddei, 19, of Gwinnett County recently won a national sweepstakes sponsored by LasikPlus, a provider of vision correction services. Taddei, a graduate of Grayson High School who has needed corrective lenses since eighth grade, won free laser vision correction.
Taddei said he's looking forward to the Lasik surgery to improve his target shooting and skeet shooting--two of his favorite hobbies.ATLANTA -- Kroger customers in the Atlanta Division raised more than $231,000 through the annual Round-Up campaign in support of the United Service Organization, surpassing the division's $200,000 goal.
From June 24 to July 7, Kroger customers rounded up purchases to the nearest dollar -- the difference benefitting the USO, which provides financial assistance to service men, women and their families. In the spirit of Independence Day, customers also participated in other patriotic activities such as filling out postcards for troops serving overseas.
"Kroger's Round-Up benefitting the USO is a favorite among our customers and associates," said Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger's Atlanta Division. "We are extremely grateful for our generous customers who help us support the USO, our service members and their families who regularly make sacrifices for all Americans."
