NORCROSS -- Two more alleged members of the Asian Gangster Crips street gang were arrested during SWAT team operations Thursday, bringing the total to three suspects detained in a July 4 shooting outside a Norcross gas station.
Gwinnett County police arrested Harrison "Vickz" Kim and Jamy "Bizzy" Long on Thursday during warrant executions at the Highland Valley Apartments in Norcross and a house in Lawrenceville, respectively, spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said. Both were charged with aggravated assault and participation in gang activity.
Kim was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The SWAT team raids -- during which several other arrests were also made, Smith said -- were the result of investigation into a July 4 shooting outside an Exxon station at Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Britt Road. According to police, Kim, Long and another purported gang member, Toan Bui, were in a car when shots erupted. One man was shot in the leg and foot.
It's now believed that Bui and Kim both fired the shots, while Long was the driver, police said.
Bui was arrested shortly after the incident but initially only charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. He was charged Thursday with aggravated assault and gang activity, Smith said.
All three men are believed to be part of the Northside Family subset of the Asian Gangster Crips gang. The gang, Smith said, also has a "semi-successful music aspect to it." Kim and Long can be found on YouTube rapping in videos filled with assault rifles and handguns.
