DACULA -- To help draw more family reunions to the county, the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts quarterly Family Reunion Planning Workshops offering reunion planners "The ABC's of Planning a Reunion." The next event is 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Stars & Strikes in Dacula with free admission.
"Reunions are one of Gwinnett's strongest seasonal markets and we want to show them everything that we have to offer," said Cricket Elliott-Leeper, GCVB reunion sales manager. "Our biggest draw is our outstanding parks and recreation facilities -- they are unmatched in metro Atlanta. They have been named as the best parks in the U.S. and are a huge part of why reunions are such a big market for us."
The workshop will feature guest speakers, presentation showcasing Gwinnett's venues, attractions, parks and recreation, and other reunion-focused vendors, plus a complimentary lunch, a reunion planning guide and a chance to win a free digital camera.
Although the event is free, reservations are required. To save your spot, contact Elliott-Leeper at 770-814-6049 or celeeper@gcvb.org.
Stars & Strikes Entertainment Center is located at 1700 Winder Highway in Dacula.
