DUI offenders deserve stiff punishment
Regarding the Sugar Hill man arrested for his third DUI in a year, and this time with a child in the vehicle -- ("Man DUI with kid in vehicle," July 6, 1A) -- was he in jail for 90 days to one year after the second DUI? Does he still have his driver's license? Does his car have an ignition interlock? This is all Georgia law.
Serial disregard for the law and others safety by people who drink and drive is disgusting and infuriating. I don't know what happened before, but I hope the Gwinnett County District Attorneys office will be able to incarcerate him for the appropriate amount of time upon conviction.
