The Dacula 11U baseball team finished runner-up at the Grand Slam tournament in Panama Beach on June 24.

Dacula battled through the losers bracket, winning seven straight games to reach the finals.

Team members are Jacob Terris, Braden Hochgertle, Alex Calvert, Blaze McCauley, Jack Jackson, Griffin Dye, Jojo Lopez, Cain Tatum, Jack Rasmussen, D.J. Houston and Eli Little.

The team is coached by Heath Terris, Kevin Hochgertle, Bill McCauley and Dennis Houston.

Blackhawks claim Cal Ripken tourney title

The Bogan Blackhawks won the Cal Ripken 12U baseball Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Blackhawks' record was 8-1 and they defeated the NJ Sand Sharks 7-4 in the Championship Game.

Team members are Chase Marusarz, Matt Edwards, Parker Landua, Colton McDaniel, Tanner Nichols, Tyler Burnette, Chase Chaney, Griffin Price, Drew Carlisle, Garrison Price and Alaska Abney.

Hurricanes win Grand Slam Battle at the Beach

The North Georgia Hurricanes 13U baseball team won the Grand Slam Battle at the Beach on June 17 in Panama City Beach, Fla. The team went 5-0 during the tournament and outscored its opponents 53-15. It faced competition from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida. The Hurricanes finished the season with a 31-11 record.

Team members are Tanner Alexander, Zack Collins, Trevor Deyton, Mark Flores, Nathan Haines, Monty Horn, Cooper Lewis, Tyler Perkins, Robbie Proud, Ty Sparrow, Tyler Thurmond and Nick Topoleski.

The team is coached by Daren Perkins, Brian Deyton, Tony Flores, Lance Sparrow and Tom Topoleski.
