Former South Gwinnett and Georgia quarterback David Greene was announced Friday as one of two Bulldogs who will be inducted into the Georgia-Florida Game Hall of Fame this year prior to the schools' annual football game in Jacksonville. Former Bulldog great Charley Whittemore also is in this year's class, released Friday by the City of Jacksonville Sports and Entertainment Office.
Greene, now a client executive with Seacrest Partners, started 52 games over four seasons and had a 42-10 record as the starting quarterback. He finished his Bulldog career as the NCAA's all-time leader in wins by a starting QB and his SEC records included careeer passing yards (11,528), total offense (11,270) and most consecutive passes without an interception (214).
The left-hander also played in the NFL after college.
