Mrs. Montine Cheek Adams, age 87, of Snellville, GA passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty five years, Millard Adams, parents, Oscar D. and Georgia Phillips Cheek, sister, Euell Cheek Cooper; brothers, Boyd Cheek, Lloyd Cheek, O. D. Cheek, Jr., Sylvester Cheek and Autry Cheek. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Adams, Snellville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sharon Adams, Statham, GA; grandchildren, Michael Adams, Savannah, GA, Brittany and Eric Hansen, Portland, TN and Andrew Adams, Bethlehem, GA; great grandchildren, Marshall Hansen and Elijah Hansen; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Adams was born June 9, 1925 in Hoschton, GA, Gwinnett County, Mt. Moriah Community. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Auburn, GA. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Funeral service will be Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Duvall, Chaplain Lynn Mouchet and Chaplain Chuck Christie officiating. Interment will follow at Hog Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Dacula, GA.
