GRAYSON -- The city of Grayson's annual summertime Christmas celebration is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 28, an event that Arts Center Director Barbara Hinkle said gives locals a "taste of what's to come" when the real holidays roll around.
Located at 2070 Rosebud Lane in Grayson, the Arts and History Center is the venue for the event, which will include a Georgia Bulldogs Tree, a Whimsical Fairy theme tree and lots of new wreathes, gift ideas and ornaments.
Refreshments will be served using recipes from the city's historical cookbook, "From Trip to Grayson." The cookbooks will be for sale at $20 each, and all proceeds benefit the Grayson Historical Preservation Society.
Tradition continues with the overall finale to the Grayson Arts and History Center's Christmas celebration with the Christmas Tour of Homes which is scheduled for early December.
Those interested in volunteering can call Hinkle at 678-985-7775.
