Georgia Perimeter College's Kaitlyn Smith, a North Gwinnett grad, was named to the NJCAA softball academic All-American team.
The health and physical education major graduated in May from GPC with a 3.73 GPA. As a sophomore outfielder this season, Smith was named co-team captain and hit .294 in her career and had a .920 fielding percentrage.
