BUFORD — Friends and family are saying goodbye to two brothers killed in a boating accident on Lake Lanier.
The funeral for 13-year-old Griffin Prince and his 9-year-old brother Jake is set for today. A memorial service for the boys was held last night. The two died after the pontoon boat they and family members were aboard was rammed by a fishing boat.
Authorities have charged Paul J. Bennett, 44, of Cumming with boating under the influence in the June 18 crash.
A written statement from the boys' family says they are grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received since the crash. It took divers more than a week after the crash to find Griffin's body.
The criminal investigation into the crash is ongoing.
