Run for the Fallen, Inc./Fallen Heroes of Georgia, which supports family members of military personnel lost in combat, will be the beneficiary of this year's Definition of a Flag Golf Tournament, held Thursday and Friday at Reunion Golf Club in Hoschton.
The event, held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, allows golfers to use 80 percent of their individual USGA handicap in competition with others. Men play from the blue tees, 60-and-over from the white tees, 75-and-over from the crush tees and ladies from the forward tees. Golfers begin the round with an allotment of strokes and see how far they can get on the course to stake their flag.
The entry fee is $35 and a large proceed of the money will go to the military charity. To register or get more information, email to john.greene@reuniongolfclub.com or call 770-967-8300, ext. 2.
