A public visitation will be held today for the two brothers killed in a boating accident on Lake Lanier.

Jake and Griffin Prince will be mourned at the Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. A private funeral for family, close friends and public safety personnel involved in the search for Griffin will be held Tuesday.

Griffin, 13, and 9-year-old brother Jake were killed June 18 when authorities believe Paul Bennett drunkenly drove his fishing boat into the pontoon driven by their father. Bennett fled the scene, authorities said.

Jake was wearing a life jacket and was located shortly thereafter. The search for Griffin, whose body was found nine days after the crash, was complicated by deep waters and difficulty in pinpointing the incident's exact location.

A memorial fund has been set up for the family. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank toward the Griffin and Jake Prince fund.
