G-Braves OF Parraz on the mend

LAWRENCEVILLE — A day after the G-Braves ended a team-record 15-game losing streak, some more good news followed.

Outfielder Jordan Parraz was activated from the team's disabled list and began a rehab assignment with the GCL Braves.

Parraz was 1-for-3 in his first game, playing right field and batting second. He tried to stretch his two-out RBI single in the third into a double but was caught at second base.

The possibility of Parraz return is welcome news to a G-Braves team that ranks 10th out of 14 teams in the International League in batting, at .250.

A career .289 hitter, the free agent signing hit .305 in 27 games before breaking his left hand. He'd knocked in seven runs with three doubles, a triple and a home run.
