Former Grayson QB Nick Schuessler, who left the Mississippi State program last week, is headed to Clemson.
Former Grayson quarterback Nick Schuessler plans to join his former high school teammates at Clemson.
Schuessler, who left the Mississippi State program last week, confirmed via text message Sunday night that he is headed to Clemson. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder said he was looking for a school closer to home.
He also will have some familiar teammates. The Tigers already have commitments from three Grayson rising seniors — Robert Nkemdiche (the nation's No. 1 prospect), Wayne Gallman and David Kamara.
Schuessler led Grayson to a 15-0 record and its first Class AAAAA state championship in 2011. He threw for 1,614 yards and 19 touchdowns in the Rams' run-heavy attack.
