Local marketing firm wins award

DULUTH -- Accent South Media was awarded the title of Gwinnett's most creative business for community impact at the inaugural Artworks! Awards.

Selected for generous contributions in pro bono design work, ASM was recognized as a major contributor and supporter of Gwinnett community causes.

Designing logos, posters, websites, packaging, billboards and banners, ASM helps bolster involvement and awareness for charitable foundations, municipalities and nonprofits ranging from the Salvation Army, the American Cancer Society, Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful, Georgia Gwinnett College and the cities of Duluth, Snellville, Suwanee and Lawrenceville.

ASM was recognized for helping small organizations "garner the attention they deserve."

Competing against Gwinnett's most innovative and creative print, music and multimedia enterprises, representatives with Accent Media South were "thrilled and humbled to be named the winner among such talented competitors."

Fellow nominees included Mighty 8th Media, Tree Sound Studios, Biscardi Creative, Luv for Art and Zephyr Music.

"I couldn't be happier about (Monday) night's awards," said ArtWorks! Executive Director Sally Corbett. "I think we had a great cross section of art disciplines represented and we had many generations of the arts come together. I think anyone who walked into the ceremony wondering if Gwinnett had an arts community walked out knowing that we do."
