DORAVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed on a major thoroughfare in Atlanta's northern suburbs shortly before the Friday morning rush hour.
Authorities say the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the northbound lanes of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The accident occurred in Doraville, just north of the Interstate 285 perimeter.
Reports say the northbound lanes of Peachtree Industrial were shut down shortly after 5 a.m. as police investigated the death.
