DULUTH -- After a short hiatus from rocking out on his own stage, Bill Gentry, owner of Wild Bill's of Duluth, is back to perform at the club to celebrate its 8th anniversary bash on Saturday.

"It's been 18 months (since performing at Wild Bill's). We've been working so hard on the national progress of my career," he said. "I can't wait to not only play for birthday bash but to spend some time in Georgia. It's going to feel good to be home."

At the party, Gentry will play some of his older tunes as well as his latest songs from his new album "Baptized In Temptation," which was produced by Chad Carlson, who helped Taylor Swift get on the map.

"I wanted someone to reflect the roots of rock -- edgy, but a very country sound -- so I asked Chad to produce my next project," he said. "We feel like we've put together an album front to back that is bulletproof, but we made sure it's also true to my roots."

Gentry is excited about celebrating the club's anniversary with the community since it has been supportive since the club opened its doors.

"When we first came to Gwinnett County and I came up with the concept of Wild Bill's, I wanted something that was good for the area that my family and parents would respect as well, which is good for the community," he said with a laugh. "It's a blessing to us, so we can bring arts and entertainment to the community. It's blessed Gwinnett County because they can see acts they wouldn't normally see without driving to the city."

He has one song that he knows for a fact he's going to play on Saturday -- anyone who has ever been to Wild Bill's will understand, according to Gentry.

"'Wild Bill's Rock n Roll Revival' was written about the club," he said. "Anybody who has spent time here will know every lyric to the song from their experience. We have a heck of a good time partying within boundaries."

It is recommended to show up early to avoid lines. This event is for adults 18 and older.
