Archer wrestling wins freshman county

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Archer won the Gwinnett County freshman wrestling tournament for the third year in a row on Saturday at Archer.

The Tigers scored 83 points to beat Greater Atlanta Christian (55 points) and Wesleyan (52).

Nine different schools had at least one county champion, led by three from Wesleyan. Adam Nakada (152), Ian Robinson (160) and Miles Smith (182) won titles for the Wolves. Archer's Trey Rinehart (126) and Elliot Lee (170), Collins Hill's Austin Arnold (101) and Kyle Henschel (220), Dacula's Marcus Nelson (120) and C.J. Lord (195), and Mountain View's Will Adams (106), D.J. Schrenk (138) were also county champs.

Shiloh's Marcus Ginyard (113), GAC's Parker Stevens (132), Brookwood's Keandre Land (145) and Peachtree Ridge's Kelvin Lora (285) also claimed county titles.
