North, Peachtree Ridge split in swimming and diving

Peachtree Ridge's swimming and diving team, behind a school record from Haley McInerny, won the girls division 166-148, but North Gwinnett was first in the boys division 188-121 in a meet between the two schools this past weekend.

McInerny won the 100 fly in a school-record time of 57.27 seconds and also won the 100 back in 1:00.51. Teammates Anna Cate Miller (diving, 193.50), Carrington BeVier (200 IM, 2:09.46), Julia Jacobi (50 free, 25.96), Corey Mills (100 fly, 56.26), Drew Wescoat (100 free, 49.62) and Christina Wang (100 free, 54.45) also had first-place finishes.

North won the overall title with the help of event wins from Ethan Webster (200 free, 1:49.36 and 500 free, 4:57.12), Hannah Terranova (200 free, 1:54.33 and 500 free, 5:07.34), Tom Peribonio (200 IM, 2:00.02 and 100 breast, 1:02.34), Zac Watford (50 free, 22.41), Tim Hoell (diving, 137.30), James Dickey (100 back, 56.18) and Allison Carr (100 breast, 1:06.47).
