Woman at Life Care named director

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Life Care Center of Lawrenceville, a local nursing and rehabilitation facility, is welcoming new executive director Cherise Ball.

Ball formerly served as assistant executive director at the facility.

"Cherise has demonstrated time and again her devotion to our residents and her commitment to our company," said John Powell, vice president of Life Care's Blue Ridge Region. "Cherise will foster an environment of quality care and business development."

Ball began her career in long-term care at Life Care Center of Lawrenceville as an administrator in training, and she went on to serve as interim executive director at Life Care Center of Gwinnett, also of Lawrenceville. After the interim position, she was the assistant executive director there and later filled the same role at Life Care Center of Haltom, Texas.

Ball received her master's degree in long-term care senior housing and aging. She received her bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in management.

Originally from Mobile, Ala., Ball resides in Atlanta.

Life Care Center of Lawrenceville, located at 210 Collins Industrial Way, is one of three facilities in Georgia operated or managed by Life Care Centers of America.
