NORCROSS -- Gwinnett police homicide investigators have suspicions that an elderly man with health issues found in his apartment near Norcross on Friday may have been murdered.
Police are treating the case as a homicide until they can determine otherwise, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter. The man's identity wasn't released.
Officers responding to a welfare check at the Valencia Apartments at 3500 Peachtree Corners discovered the man dead in his apartment about 10:30 a.m., Ritter said.
The man suffered from various medical conditions. The cause of death was unknown Friday.
Ritter said the man's exact age wasn't available Friday afternoon.
