SNELLVILLE — Eastside Medical Center will host a community health screening next week.

Held from 8 to 10 a.m. on Jan. 19, the screenings will include these offerings: fasting blood sugar ($3.80), cholesterol ($5) and total lipid profile, which includes total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL and cardiac risk factors ($17.80).

HBA1C screenings -- which can be used to diagnose diabetes -- will also be offered for $2.80.

Participants must be 18 or older and fast from 8 p.m. the night before with "no more than a sip of water to take any required medication," officials said.

No appointment is necessary, but participants should bring their physician's name and address with them. Copies of the results will be mailed to physicians and patients.
