LAWRENCEVILLE -- A Lawrenceville woman on dialysis and her 3-year-old son, reported missing on Saturday, have been located and are safe, police said Monday.
Flor DeRodriguez, 33, and son Emanuel had last been seen Thursday evening when Gwinnett County police issued a Mattie's Call for help locating them. DeRodriguez was believed to have no kidneys and require daily dialysis treatments.
Police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter said Monday that the woman and her son had been located.
"The mother is currently at Piedmont Hospital undergoing treatment for her pre-existing medical condition and the child is safe with family members," Ritter said.
No other information was available Monday.

Thought the first article said she HAD to have this treatment daily.Obviously not. Are the taxpayers covering daily treatment? I bet we are.

Glad they were found.
Agree with Gundoctor1 that the taxpayers are probably paying the bill. Not to long ago Grady had a dialysis center that was done away. The bulk of the patients that were receiving dialysis were illegal aliens. Grady even offered to find treatment centers in their native countries. We bend over backwards to do the right by people that don't belong here and not enough for our own to get them off welfare.
