Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center to display engineering exhibit

BUFORD -- Beginning Monday, the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center will display the historical exhibit, "Petticoats and Slide Rules," which features women in engineering from the Society of Women Engineers.

The exhibit "explores the evolving role of women in engineering by celebrating women's technological achievements, personal experiences and equal rights struggles."

"The GEHC is very excited to host this unique exhibition," Director of Development Jason West said. "One of the GEHC's goals is to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) related careers and opportunities for young people. This exhibit certainly inspires and educates future generations about the changing roles of women in the engineering profession."

The exhibit runs until April 1 and is included with GEHC admission; free for GEHC members.
