ATLANTA (AP) -- The wife of presidential candidate Mitt Romney will campaign in Georgia ahead of the state's Super Tuesday primary next week.
Ann Romney is scheduled to appear at a meet-and-greet event Thursday at a barbeque restaurant in Alpharetta. She'll then head to the grand opening of Romney's campaign headquarters in Atlanta.
The former Massachusetts governor won primary elections Tuesday night in Michigan and Arizona.
Georgia is considered friendly territory for Romney rival Newt Gingrich, a former Georgia Congressman who has been campaigning across the state this week hoping that a victory here can snap his recent losing streak. Gingrich appeared Wednesday at Georgia's Statehouse to address lawmakers and at a news conference with Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal.
